Creekside Meadows Wedding | Megan & Clay

May 9, 2017

Some things are meant to be, and Megan and Clay were meant to married at Creekside Meadows. Many brides – myself included! – search for weeks or months for their perfect wedding venue, but for Megan there was no question. She lives next door, and has watched the beautiful rustic structure being built over the last several years and dreaming of her own wedding one day. Then, she was invited to a party there, and met someone amazing. Clay had arrived on the scene.

We met sweet Megan when she moved to Tampa with her best friend (and matron of honor!) that we also knew well. They even lived in the same neighborhood as we did! We grew to love her kind heart – and secret wit! – and were excited to see where her life would lead. Imagine our excitement when, a few years later, she reached out to us about wedding photos! We were absolutely thrilled to document the next chapter of their lives!

If you know the South, you know that by May, it’s usually plenty warm! We’ve already had 90 degree days down here. But the week leading up to Megan & Clay’s wedding day, it was RAINY and COLD! I was wondering if we would need to pack our umbrellas, but their day was PERFECT. I would like to put in a request to have this day be repeated for every other wedding this year! It was bright and beautiful, and full of gorgeous details and a rustic barn reception that made the day such fun to photograph!

Megan & Clay, we are so excited to share our favorites from your wedding day. We are so happy for you as you begin your new life together!

Clay had Megan’s ring custom designed, centered around his grandmother’s diamond solitaire. What a gorgeous heirloom!
Megan told me that when she began picking her dress, her one rule was NO TULLE. But, her sister asked her to try just one, and, the rest was history!  I may have a BIT of a crush on Megan’s bouquet. The ranunculus were to die for!

I also may have had a crush on the bridesmaid dresses! This long flowing style is SO gorgeous!
Megan & Clay’s favorite thing to make for dinner is — breakfast! So they incorporated that into their reception, and it was SO fun!

This reception venue was overflowing with incredible details!

We are so honored to work with such a talented creative team. Thank you to all for your beautiful work!
