Hey y’all! It’s October, which is my favorite month of the year. Tennessee decided THIS WEEK that it’s finally fall (actually we may have skipped to winter, judging by the sweatshirt and boots I pulled out this morning), and the leaves are starting to change. You know how Lorelei can smell snow? I can smell fall. We had a tease of fall about a month ago, and every time I walked outside I smelled it. The day I found out I was pregnant with my daughter, I estimated my due date and got SO EXCITED when I realized she was due in October. This is my month. And now that I’m a photographer? It’s still my month – but in a different way. This is the month. We have had 9 shoots in the last 6 days, including a 24-hour trip to New York, and 3 of those were back-to-back engagement sessions. This is the first, and WOW was it a good one!
We first met Cailey when we photographed her brother Bryce’s wedding a couple years back. We had so much fun at that wedding (I was eight months pregnant!) and we loved getting to know this sweet family. So, when Cailey contacted us after her engagement, we were so excited to get to photograph these fun people again! Cailey and Andrew met in college at Lipscomb University, and I loved getting to hear their story! They are taking a backpacking course as their PE right now – how much more fun is that than volleyball or tennis?! Andrew orchestrated a fantastic proposal at Percy Warner park (complete with an unforeseen third wheel that took a while to kick out!), so Cailey & Andrew loved the idea of having their engagement session at the sister park of Edwin Warner. What a treasure they showed me! I am so excited to share my favorites from this session, and this beautiful couple! Cailey & Andrew, we are SOO excited for your wedding in August!
