I’m a big fan of reunions. Family reunions, show cast reunions, class reunions. They make me all warm and fuzzy inside, and I can’t always put my finger on why. But I think a big part of it is that this life is made up of shared experiences. It’s rare to have a memory of something important or special to you that doesn’t involve at least one, if not several, other people who were a part of that with you. Growing up together, performing together, studying until 3 AM together – your affection towards those memories is tied to the people that were in there with you, creating the same memory. So, coming together to remember, relive, and revitalize those special moments and realize that they were as special to someone else as they were to you – that’s powerful, y’all. And it gives me the warm & fuzzies.
Where am I going with this? That’s how I feel about meeting up with our couples for anniversary sessions. Time has passed, our lives have changed, we’ve all gone further down our separate paths, but when we come back together, not only to remember their wedding day, but also celebrate the years that they’ve spent and grown together? That’s a special moment, and one that we were honored to capture for Emma & Charlie! They are coming up on their three-year anniversary, and I can’t help but realize that that means I’m coming up on having a three-year-old, since I was pregnant at their wedding!
Emma & Charlie, it was SO, so good to see you again, and we are so proud of all you’ve done and honored to have documented another page of your story together!
